Capelli Shop co-owners Joey Festa and Matt DiBartolo, will welcome friends, families and area residents with refreshments and stories about how they upgraded the former Calabrese Salon into a hair salon for the 21st century and the area’s discriminating clientele. The two men enlisted their relatives and friends to help remove and replace ceilings, duct and electrical work, floors, lighting, and reception and service areas – effectively gutting and transforming the space. In a design twist that offers added functionality, Festa and DiBartolo utilize Sears Craftsman® rolling metal storage cabinets to serve as sturdy workstations, and plan to add a custom wall mural to further enhance the salon’s interior. The result is an open, bright and contemporary setting for modern hair coloring, cuts and styling for men and women.  In addition to their previous salons experience, Festa and DiBartolo have both been trained by the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy. “We strive to help you express your individuality through your most important personal style element - your hair,” said Festa. “We believe that your color and style should be so versatile that you can use it to match or express whatever mood, inspiration or event that arises,” added DiBartolo. The Capelli Shop also features the area’s most extensive selection of all-natural Davines Color and Davines Styling Systems, from Italy (www.davines.com). Festa and DiBartolo had previously used the preferred products, and it seemed a natural selection for their new salon, given that both owners are of Italian descent (the shop’s name – Capelli - means “hair” in Italian), and enjoy its culture, products, foods and design. The owner/stylists also provide bagels and coffee, lemonade and iced tea, or other refreshments for clients year-round. Festa and DiBartolo have been serving clients at Capelli Shop since opening for business in mid-March, and both are eager to invite existing and new customers, and local residents, to visit the shop’s grand opening festivities on May 3.
